New website will help Wyoming voters find their polling place

(The Center Square) – Voters in Wyoming have a new way to find out where to vote.

Secretary of State Chuck Gray said voters can go to his “Wyoming Votes” webpage and provide information about their residence to locate their polling place this year.

“The enhancements made to our polling place locator provide a great tool for voters in locating their polling place and viewing sample ballots for statewide and legislative races,” Gray said in a news release. “Our office’s Technology and Election Divisions did a great job spearheading this effort.”

The polling place locator is for the primary election on Aug. 20 and the general election on Nov. 5.

Voters can register on Election Day at either their polling location or with their local county clerk.

Meanwhile, voters in the Cowboy State must be at least 18 on Election Day, a United States citizen, and a Wyoming resident.

The deadline to change political parties in the primary election was May 15. However, people are allowed to vote for whichever party or candidate they prefer in the November election.

Voters are also required to have identification to cast a ballot. Forms of identification include a Wyoming driver’s license, a valid United States passport, a University of Wyoming or Wyoming Public School ID, a valid concealed carry permit for Wyoming, and or insurance cards from Medicare and Medicaid.

Information about absentee voting and ways to report a problem can also be found on the “Wyoming Votes” webpage.
