Poll: Gianforte leads Busse by 22%

In a recent SurveyUSA poll commissioned by NonStop Local, the results show that Governor Greg Gianforte is currently in the lead with a 22-point advantage over Democrat candidate Ryan Busse.

According to the poll, 52% of Montanans expressed their intent to vote for Governor Gianforte, while only 30% favored Busse. The remaining 18% either remain undecided or plan to support another candidate.

Busse, a Kalispell-based gun control activist and an author, initiated his campaign in September and selected Raph Graybill as his Lieutenant Governor running mate. Graybill, the 2020 Democratic nominee for Attorney General, experienced a loss with a margin exceeding 100,000 votes.

Despite trailing significantly, Busse conveyed optimism during an interview with NonStop Local. He emphasized the importance of connecting with people at events, expressing confidence that attendees, regardless of political affiliation, leave with a positive impression of his candidacy.

The survey also inquired about voters’ opinions regarding Governor Gianforte, revealing that 49% of respondents approve of his job performance, while 44% disapprove.

Notably, the same poll indicated that Senator Jon Tester is leading Republican challenger Tim Sheehy by a margin of 49% to 40%, as previously reported by NonStop Local.
