Austin Knudsen’s leadership as Attorney General has been vital in the fight against the fentanyl crisis in Montana. He has made it a priority to combat this deadly epidemic by hiring more narcotics agents and fostering greater interagency cooperation across the state. Thanks to his efforts, more drug-detecting K9s are being deployed, and law enforcement agencies across our state are better equipped to target fentanyl traffickers.
Attorney General Knudsen also led the charge to implement stronger penalties for fentanyl distribution, including pushing for mandatory minimum sentences and up to 100 years for those whose actions result in death. His work to get opioid overdose reversal kits into schools, and his efforts to educate students about the dangers of fentanyl, show his commitment to both prevention and enforcement. As AG, he has collaborated with local and national health experts to ensure Montana has access to life-saving resources, helping to prevent tragic overdoses. His fight to secure our southern border from the influx of dangerous drugs underscores his comprehensive approach to this crisis.
Montana needs Austin Knudsen’s continued leadership in the battle against fentanyl. I strongly endorse his reelection.
