Montana Gov. Greg Gianforte is promoting adoption and a new state tax credit for families who adopt children.
Gianforte hosted adoptive parents in a Missoula church Nov. 16, to highlight the new tax credit offering a $5,000 to $7,500 tax credit for in-state adoptions.
“Adoption is a precious, life-changing gift, and the high costs of adoption shouldn’t be an obstacle for families to adopt a child,” said Gianforte. “Through the adoption tax credit, we’ve made it easier for families to open their happy, healthy, loving homes to children.”
