Kila resident Del Orrin Crawford, 42, has been sentenced to 100 years in the Montana State Prison for the fatal shooting of a woman during a 2022 argument outside a Martin City bar, Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen announced.
Crawford was convicted in July 2024 on charges of deliberate homicide, attempted deliberate homicide, assault with a weapon, and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence. The deadly incident occurred in August 2022 when Crawford shot and killed a woman after an argument escalated. A man who intervened was also shot and injured but survived.
In addition to the prison sentence, Crawford was ordered to pay $91,809.84 in restitution.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant Attorneys General Thorin Geist and Selene Koepke, with support from the Flathead County Attorney’s Office. The investigation was conducted by the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office.
