Marjorie Taylor Greene Rips Rosendale

MTG Rosendale cannot be trusted

Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene expressed her disgust on Friday, stating that it’s “nauseating” to witness members of her party competing for the support of former President Donald Trump in the lead-up to the 2024 election. Greene’s remarks come shortly before GOP primary voters in the Iowa caucuses make their decisions, with several presidential hopefuls vying for the 2024 Republican nomination, attempting to outshine Trump. Preliminary polling indicates Trump’s strong lead among primary challengers, and he has garnered endorsements from numerous Republican lawmakers and governors, including Greene herself.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, Greene specifically singled out Montana Representative Matt Rosendale, who is rumored to announce a 2024 Senate run in the coming weeks and publicly endorsed Trump the previous Monday. However, Greene contends that politicians like Rosendale are merely using their support for the former president as a political strategy to benefit their own campaigns.

“It’s nauseating watching politicians like Rosendale only run to Pres Trump for pictures and beg for endorsement when they want to get elected, but when Pres Trump asks for support, they literally throw up their hands and turn their back,” Greene wrote. “Cannot be trusted.”

While Rosendale has previously expressed support for the former president, he has also exhibited defiance toward members of his own party in the House. Greene’s reference to the “perfect phone call” during January’s House speaker votes was directed at Rosendale, who voted against former Speaker Kevin McCarthy until the final round.
